Braille Sheet - AFB's Blog

Wikked cool tech from the AFB Blog! Engineers at the University of Tokyo, School of Engineering are developing plastic sheeting that displays braille dynamically by creating arrays of bumps on its rubbery surface. The (refreshable?) cells are driven by braille input, such as from an e-book. AFB believes the practical applicability is till a few years away but I doubt it will take that long - especially after seeing as how quickly companies such as eInk have gotten their technology into the market. Just imagine some of the non-braille applications of this technology.
