Textbooks to be rented at college

Southwestern College's bookstore and student government have found a way to cut the price of textbooks by about 80 percent by renting them. For the spring semester, the college's bookstore will make five top sellers available for rent.

How's that gonna mess up the alt-format text pocedures? Think about it - what happens when all the students start renting textbooks but the student needing alt-format has to buy theirs? A sticky-wicket to be sure.
